These next links lead to a series of music creator tools that are very simple to use and are created with simple but interesting visuals
Tonematrix became a viral hit on the web a few years ago and you can find it at http://lab.andre-michelle.com/tonematrix if you don’t know about it
From the same makers, comes Pulsate, a similar idea that’s very interesting visually and creates pleasant music in a similar way to tone matrix. Check it out at http://lab.andre-michelle.com/pulsate
If these aren’t enough you can find more cool sound visualization and creators at the main website http://lab.andre-michelle.com, although he has plenty of non-music related things too. It’s more of a general programming site but most of his programs are pretty neat
Note: Starting from the bottom and moving up is probably the best idea as his newest and most interesting ones are shown at the top
Hey all, it’s been a little short of a week since our last update, and I assure you this was to optimize the time spent hustling and flowing and getting our move on this bih-ness! And what a week it’s been! We were one man down this past week but we managed to keep it going by making a ton of trips down to Kensington to visit (and probably pester) the guys at HardBoiled Inc, our fab printers. After our friend Emma told us about a possible media spotlight that would take place on Thursday, we tried to rush just our first design (Iconic) to make that deadline for Emma to rock on TV, but by the time jeudi rolled around, it turns out that the printers had actually managed to pump out all 85 of our first batch! We had to rush Emma her shirt by 7:00 pm at the latest, but we only managed to grab the box of shirts by 6:40, and after a bit of coordinating, we ran all the way across 4 city blocks to deliver our first order. Thanks to Emma once again for helping us out!
We also managed to get our busking license at the beginning of last week, a task we had put off for a bit too long being that the licensing office was by Coxwell station (far east, to say the least). But, after waiting around in the waiting room, and figuring out what category of a busker I should be placed under (it was between clown and mime), we finally got the laminated license (so fresh, so clean!). Be sure to check us out busking somewhere along Queen St. West where the sidewalks are widest!
On Saturday we got a few of our lovely friends to model our shirts to send to all of you, and to send to Jackie, our web designer. Shit be moving quickly, your boys from school are making it big!
So to end off this long awaited update, GET READY FOR YOUR SHIRTS! They look so fly, and so crisp, and if you haven’t gotten one, SHAME ON YOU, and order one NOW NOW NOW. Pics will ensue, and watch out for a new video sometime this week. Check out our Twitter (twitter.com/1000yearsltd) for updates about our location on Queen St. West, and we’ll contact all those who ordered shirts to begin our deliveries. Stay posted!
Nick here telling you just our youtube account now has it’s second video. Two videos in five days, NOT BAD EH!? anyway check it out, I don’t want to talk about it much because I am still em-bare-assed heh heh
Follow this link to go to our Facebook group, arguably our most updated social networking site, here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=142392759106905 and join the group! We keep you posted on all things Thousand Years, and if you’re not a fan of INTERESTING, and AWESOME tidbits of info that we try to provide you with here on our blog, then you’ll definitely find the Facebook group for you. It’s 100% relevant to our business, and you’ll be constantly getting updates on stuff ranging from our latest website updates, the various colours we offer, etc. Check it out now!
SPEAKING of various colours, we offer our two new designs in a set 4 colours of American Apparel tee’s. For Imprint, the logo design, we offer that in black, fuschia, purple, and kelly green. For Octocream, we offer that in lemon, aqua, lime, and creme. Stay updated for the new set colours for our original 4 designs (we’re limiting it because a lot of people are complaining that they have TOO much choice)!
Finally, stay tuned for a new video being released in the VERY, VERY near future! It’s a very flattering one of Nick, and features the song Over by your local Toronto-turned-superstar Drake!
Today the Thousand Years crew was chillin at Manpuku. For those who don’t know, it’s located in the Village by the Grange food court. It’s actually pretty cool because it’s a Japanese restaurant that is NOT ALLOWED to sell sushi. This forces the owners to serve authentic Japanese food and really make top notch udon and such otherwise they’d get passed by. Besides the obvious rice and noodle dishes, they’ve got some cool stuff like Takoyaki that you probably can’t find anywhere else in Toronto. Whether you become permanent fans (like us) or not it’s an interesting place, and I still always get this cool drink.
Anyway we ate too much and now we’re mad tired. Later, and stay tuned for a second youtube vid by the end of today
There’s no stopping Thousand Years. After less than a week of selling we have expanded our line by FIFTY PERCENT. Well, it’s only two designs but CHECK IT YO FRESH TO DEATH
These designs will be on a set list of colours (which we’ll announce soon) to avoid problems like last time where people ordered coral and lavender when they were actually being discontinued. One week, 50% increase. Stay tuned another week for what will most likely be at least a 33% increase!
Sorry guys, the printing company just told us that they can’t do shirts on Coral or Lavender anymore. If you ordered one of these colours please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a replacement colour you’d rather have. Sorry for the inconvenience, in the future we’ll have standardized colours so this problem doesn’t arise.
