This is just a short post to update all those waiting for the production of our latest line, the Fall 2011 collection, to finish. We are expecting just another 2 short weeks before everything falls into place, as the screens get made, the clothing get printed, the hats get embroidered, and the necklaces get assembled. We are printing on Canadian-made Thousand Years Apparel shirts, complete with a woven label on the back of the neck and a unique ‘Utility Loop’ hemtag that we’ve added on the front, which will also be sewn onto the back of the snapbacks (which are now offered in Navy only), and will be used as the closure system for our necklaces. Utility indeed. As for our Lady’s Tee, the Trompe-L’Oeil, we unfortunately are not going to be producing them this Fall as we originally intended because American Apparel has decided to discontinue that particular style and thus our wholeseller was unable to obtain that 3/4 sleeve v-neck shirt for us. To made amends for flipping the script on all of you, here’s a teaser for our two woven labels that are going to be handsewn onto all our merchandise:
Also expect some unlikely (and not unlikely) collaborations hitting you guys soon. Please participate in the poll about Fresh Prince Fridays below to determine the fate of our future Fridays here at the Thousand Years blog, as we have been getting mixed reviews and are now reconsidering if the amount of effort put into the series is worth it.
